Mike Block String Camp

July 6-11, 2020

Mike Block String Camp is an annual summer workshop for string players of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on non-Classical traditions and contemporary musical styles, with emphasis on learning by ear, creativity, collaboration, and performance.

Our public concerts comprise The Vero Beach International Music Festival, with performances on July 8, 10, and 11 at the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach (520 Royal Palm Blvd).

Begun in 2010, MBSC participants include High School and Middle School students from the local Vero Beach community and across the country, as well as amateur adults, college students, and professionals traveling across the world from countries like China, Singapore, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Canada, New Zealand, and many more.

We offer two experiences to choose from. Click on the link below to choose which program you’re interested to participate in, and fill out the online form. Application deadline is June 1st.


We are passionate about helping students to attend our camp and are excited to offer a limited number of need-based scholarships! In exchange for scholarships, participants/parents may be asked to help out with camp activities, such as meal set-up/clean-up, airport pick-ups, concert set-up, etc..
