Keefer Glenshaw is a musician, cellist, and performance artist based in Boston and Brooklyn. As a musician, Keefer performs as a solo act and with his post-punk band The Romance. The group is currently on tour with two other acts from Bushwick, playing a DIY folk tour from Vancouver to LA. As a cellist, Keefer has recorded with artists such as G Eazy, The Wooten Brothers, JAY1, Trophy Wife, and many more. He has performed alongside Darol Anger and Mike Marshall, Joe Lavano, and Kenny Werner, among others. He plays with many rising acts out of the underground rock scene in New York, and is currently in residency with Jeezy and the Color of Noize Orchestra in Las Vegas. As a performance artist, Keefer combines his musicianship with endurance art. He recently completed his second 24-hour piece, entitled “Intention / Desire,” a performance of over 50 improvised duets with a diverse range of musicians within a 24-hour period. This is Keefer’s 10th year at MBSC: the camp is a foundational part of his life, on and off the cello.
